Roosevelt "Lil' Man" Dixon

Roosevelt “Lil’ Man” Dixon was born May 5, 1943 to the late Fred and Susie Dixon in Jonesboro, Georgia. He was joined in Holy matrimony to the late Laura Jean Glenn-Dixon. “Lil’ Man” as he was so fondly called joined six (6) of his siblings in death, Loraine Holmes, Mattie Dixon, Freddie Mae gay, Betty Carlise, Harvey Dixon, and Fred Dixon Jr. “Lil’ Man” attended school at Fountain High school in Forest Park, Georgia. He retired from Cole’s Transmission in 2006 but continued to work there for a total of 51 years until his untimely death. “Lil’ Man” joined Bethel Baptist Church at an early age and was a faithful servant. “Lil’ Man” was a loyal and faithful friend to anyone that came in contact with him. “Lil’ Man” loved and enjoyed spending time with his family laughing and reminiscing about the good old days. His greatest joy came from his grandchildren and great grandchild; he loved the role of being granddaddy or papa as they would call him. On Monday, March 9, 2015 the sweet spirit of “Lil’ Man” joined the savior in that home not built by hands but whose maker and builder is God. “Man Man”, as his children called him, leaves to cherish his loving spirit six (6) children, Terrance Montgomery (Lisa), Sonya Dixon, Shelton Dixon, Dylan Dixon, LaCarlos Talley (Candice) and Victoriann Dixon; five (5) step children that he raised as his own, Miranda Glenn, Rodney Glenn, Sherrie Glenn, Nikita Glenn, and Trence Glenn; four (4) children that he took under his wing and called his own, Latrice Talley, Alonzo Talley, Sienna Drew, and Veronica Collier Tucker; a loving companion, Ms. Sharlene Glynn; twenty (20) grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, Kamiyah Dean who he personally retired for 2 years to care for and named his “Miyah Moo”. “Lil’ Man” leaves two (2) sisters, Annie Ruth Scandrett and Vera Brown (David); four (4) sisters-in-law, Mae Okwandu (Goodnews), Stephanie Glenn, Gail Glenn, Cutrinner Glenn and Cable Brooks (Chammo’n); three (3) brothers-in-law, Henry Glenn (Lavosha), Leroy Glenn (Linda) and Charlie Scandrett. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends especially Mr. Harold Murphy and Mr. Ross Cole to cherish his loving memory.
