Peachie Morgan

Peachie Lee McCoy Morgan was born February 19, 1942 in Franklin County, Roxie, MS to the late Robert and Catherine McCoy. At an early age she confessed her faith in Christ and became a member of Roxie First Baptist Church. In 1963 she relocated to Miami, Florida joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, in Carol City, Florida and upon returning to Roxie, Ms she became a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church under leadership of Pastor Dr. Steven Harrison where she was an active member until her illness. On April 30, 1961, Peachie was united in Holy Matrimony to McArthur Morgan, to this union five (5) loving children were born. Peachie graduated from Mt. Olive School in 1959 as Valedictorian of her class. After working for 30 years she retired in 2001 from Jackson Memorial Hospital of Miami, Florida as a Supervisor. Peachie departed her temporary home for her Heavenly home on Sunday, January 4, 2015. Preceded her in death by her parents; two sisters, Betty Floyd Sayles & Joyce D. Anderson; two brothers, Colmon C. Jackson and Jessie McCoy, Sr., one god-child, Adrian Morgan. Peachie leaves to cherish her precious memories: One (1) daughter, Vernika (Roland) Hunter of Atlanta, GA; Four (4) sons, Michael (Charisma) Morgan of Roxie, MS; Derrick (Diana) Morgan of Bainbridge GA; Efram Quinn Morgan of Madison, FL; Vernon Jason Morgan of New Iberia, LA; three (3) sisters, Marvel Carter, Amanda McCoy, & Debbie Lowe all of Roxie. MS; two god-sisters, Lovia Granger, Canton, MS & Rosie Buckles of Roxie, MS; Five (5) brothers, Robert McCoy, Jr. of Roxie, MS; E. J. McCoy of Miami, Florida; Willie (Shawanda) McCoy, Ricky (Diane) McCoy of Roxie, MS, & Arthur Ray (Willie Mae) Briggs of Jonesboro, Georgia; Fourteen (14) grandchildren, Derrick, Christopher, Michael, Roland II, Maurice, Brandon, Dante, Vernon, Torie, Briana, Marshea, Makayla, Mariah, & Derrick; Eleven (11) great grandchildren, Christopher Jr., Darius Jr., Detrick, Derrick, Kylah, Paris, Takoria, Aubrie, Malerie, Torie, & Genesis; One God-child, Kimberly Gallego of Miramar, FL; One (1) aunt, Viola Mason, of Roxie, MS; Five (5) sisters-in-law, Six (6) brothers-in-law, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
