Evonne White

It is with deep sorrow and love that we celebrate the life of Evonne White, who departed this life on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 69. Evonne was born on January 17, 1956, in Griffin, Georgia, to the late Johnny Williams and Catherine Williams. She was raised in Hampton, Georgia, where her warm spirit, generous heart, and love for others began to shine at an early age. She accepted Christ early in life and was a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Locust Grove, Georgia, where she served in the Mass Choir. Evonne’s love for worship and fellowship reflected her deep relationship with God. A dedicated sales associate by profession, Evonne was known for her kind-hearted nature, generous spirit, and ability to uplift everyone around her. She found joy in shopping, attending family gatherings, going out to eat, spending time with her sister Lisa, and simply spreading love wherever she went. She was also remembered as a true servant of God, never missing an opportunity to bless others. Evonne was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Johnny and Catherine Williams, and her devoted husband, Nathaniel White Sr. She was one of seven siblings. She is lovingly remembered by her sisters Claudette Lawrence (William), Brenda Whitaker (Eddie Frank), and Lisa Roberts (Eugene, deceased); and her brothers Terry Williams, Alonzo Williams (Sarah), and Johnny Williams Jr. Though she had no biological children, she played a special role in the lives of her godchildren: Kavidra Harper, Qwin Whitaker (Rhonda), Jarion Ponder, and Jaylon Ponder. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Kathy Buggs and Margie Segaye, her brother-in-law Harold White (Carrie), three stepdaughters, two stepsons, her special friend Sonya Delbridge, and a host of cherished family. Her beloved nieces and nephews include: Scoot, C-C (Tonja), Fray (Stacey), Tesha, Nisa, Shalonda, Coco, Tasha, Zanetta, Luke, Vick, and Derrick. Her great-nieces and great-nephews include: Tondric (Shadia), Tiana, Tiara, A’shard, Keandre, Kaleb, Anijah, Jabra, Rod, and Coby. She is also remembered by her loving Aunt Dorothy Solomon (Melvin, deceased).
