Carolyn D. Jones

Carolyn Denise Jones was born on February 2, 1964 to the late Charlie and Rubie Kate Jones. She was the eldest of this union. Carolyn's family and friends called her by her middle name Denise and her brother affectionately called her Ninny. Her nieces and nephews called her Auntie, but the names that was dearest to her were (Mom, Nana, and Grandma). On January 5, 2024 Carolyn received her wings and went home to be with her Heavenly Father. She was preceded in death by both parents (Charlie and Rubie Jones), grandmother (Mattie L. Cosby). grandfather (James Weaver), and grandson (Emery Golston). Carolyn was educated in the Atlanta Public Schools and graduated from George Washington Carver High School. She went on further her education and received an Associate Degree in Industrial Electrical Technology, a Diploma in Electronics Fundamentals, Bachelor Degree in Computer Information Systems, and her Master's in Business Administration. Before Carolyn's health begin to decline, she was working on her Real Estate License. Her work ethics kept her employed throughout her life even at a young age (Woolworths, Stouffer, Waverly Hotel, Pofolks, United Postal Service) and Marta Transit until her health declined. Carolyn accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age (West End Baptist Church). She shared her love for Christ through the life she lived serving others. She was a member of Light of the World Ministry before relocating to Fairburn Georgia. Carolyn had such a radiant smile that it captivated all who knew her. She had such a kind and loving heart that she never met a stranger. Her love for shopping and traveling took her many places in the world. She knew and had a love for all types of music, applying make up (great at it), and working on computers was a few things she enjoyed doing. There was nothing that brought more joy and laughter to her heart than spending time with her family and grandchildren, Her daughters were her world and they held a special place in her heart, She taught them life values and priceless morals that will be with them to pass on to generations to come. Carolyn leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters Shuntorius (Timothy) Davis of North Carolina, Keishanna (Erik) Golston of South Carolina. Grandchildren (Timothy Davis, Troy Davis, Tiana Davis, Ariyah Benson, Eriana Golston, Empryss Golston) two brothers Okeem Jones and Charlie (Angela) Jones of Georgia.
