Carl Ted Wynn Crawford

Carl Ted (Wynn) Crawford November 28, 1952 – September 16, 2025 Carl Ted Crawford of South Fulton Georgia was born to the late Pecolia Wynn and Etheleen Crawford Wynn in McDonough Georgia. He graduated from West Side High School in McDonough Georgia in 1970 and retired from Sara Lee Bakery in 2008 after 28 years of dedicated service. At the age of 22 Ted married the love of his life, his childhood sweetheart, Diann (Cloud) Crawford. God blessed them with 51 years of marriage and two beautiful daughters Tanya and Tameka Crawford whom he truly loved and cherished. Ted found great joy in spending time with family, often sharing stories and memories that kept their history alive. Known for his compassionate spirit, he was often by the side of those in need - visiting friends and family who were home sick or in hospital, offering comfort and companionship. He was a loyal and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. Ted’s love for his nieces and nephews was undeniable – so many hugs, love and kisses shared. Ted shared an amazingly special unbreakable close bond with his baby sister Valerie Darlene Wynn who transitioned 2 months prior to his passing. Ted joined Cleveland Chapel AME Church in Hampton Georgia at an early age and later became a member of New Canaan Word of God Ministries in College Park Georgia where he faithfully served as greeter and security and performed other behind the scenes duties under the leadership of Pastor Steven D. King. He had a special relationship and love for his Pastor and New Canaan family. Ted enjoyed watching wrestling, western movies, and football, and he had a passion for capturing memories through photography. He enjoyed listening to old school music, watching classic movies that he grew up watching as a child and sharing these movies with his children. Ted also had a special talent for refinishing antique wood furniture, bringing new life and beauty to each piece he touched. Ted was preceded in death by his parents: Pecolia and Etheleen Wynn; grandmother, Ruby Kate Kimble; Sisters: Annie Dukes, Shirley Wynn, Valerie Wynn; Brothers: Darrell Wynn, and Stanley Wynn. Ted leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 51 years: Diann Crawford; 2 daughters: Tanya Crawford and Tameka Crawford; grandson: Patrick Williams; granddaughter: Gabrielle Crawford; Brother: Alfonzo Wynn; Sister: Miriam Wynn; brothers-in-law: Jodie Lee Duffey and James Cloud; sisters in-law: Bertha Cloud, Alice Williams, Willie Ruth Carnell, Catherine Ponder and Brenda Jones; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
