Thomas Everest Dixon

BIRTH & EDUATION: THOMAS DIXON WALKER was born in Norwalk, Connecticut on June 18, 1972. Born to Ronald B. Walker and Shianne Dixon. Thomas was the first grandchild in the Walker family. Thomas grew up in Queens, New York. During his early childhood years, he attended the New York City school system. During his early teenage years, he relocated to Columbia, South Carolina where he attended Eau Claire High School. Thomas furthered his education by attending Job Corp in Brunswick, Georgia and received his GED. He also received engineering training, landscaping training and completed Barber School. After completing barber school, Thomas moved back to Columbia, SC. In 1997 he moved back to New York with his grandparents and grew his faith in God. In 2001, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia due to his health issues and be closer to his sisters. RELIGION: THOMAS was baptized at St. Marks Missionary Baptist Church, Queens, New York at the early age of 13 years old. He enjoy singing in the choir and assisting his grandfather, Reverend John L. Walker with carrying his bible and following him all over the church. Thomas continued his love for the Lord throughout his life. EMPLOYMENT: THOMAS was an entrepreneur. He was a great barber and had a landscaping business cutting grass around the community. Over the last couple of years, he enjoyed selling scented body oils. Thomas did not let his disability keep him from marketing to people in the neighborhood or near local stores. He had several customers that he built a relationship with, and he could depend on them to purchase his oils. AWAITING HIS ARRIVAL: THOMAS will be welcomed by his loving grandparents Rev. John L. Walker Sr., Rev. Fannye B. Walker, Queen Ester King and George King. His uncles John L. Walker Jr. “Lenny”, Paul Walker, Sr., Roosevelt Mitchell, Isaac Williams and Anthony Williams. His aunts Audrey Haynes and April Latham. CHERISHED MEMORIES: THOMAS had a heart of gold. His love for fashion, sports hats, and suits kept him looking dapper at every occasion. He leaves to mourn his loving parents, Ronald B. Walker and Shianne Dixon Walker. Sisters, Sekeyna Walker, Nadia (Darin) Tompkins, and Amy Walker. His little brother, Patrick Walker. His loving nieces and nephews, DaQuan, DeVonte, Nya- Triniti, NyEmah, Nigel, and Nia. His great nieces and nephews, Demetris, Serenati, Amaya, Daniel, Aaliyah, Kodi and Skyee. The love of his life, dearest friend and companion; Charlette Parlor. A host of cherished caregivers, cousins, friends, and family located in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Delaware, Florida, Georgia Virginia, and New York along.
