Faith "Faye" Case

Faith “Faye” Case was born in Florida where she spent her early childhood. She was the 4th child born to Lillie Mae and Marvin Tomlinson. According to her siblings, she was affectionately known as their “sassy” little sister. Later, Faith moved to Georgia where she met and married Thomas “Tom” Case. They raised 2 sons and many animals. They were married for nearly 44 years before Faith passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness. She was a devoted wife, mother, nana, dog-mom, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend. She touched the lives of so many and will be missed by all. Faith was retired from the Lake City Police Department where she worked as a Detective. She took pride in her job and in serving the community. Faith also worked part time for the Travelers Rest Church in Morrow and considered them part of her family. Faith looked forward to visiting with her sisters and nieces during their annual Florida beach trip; she liked creating handmade treasures; she enjoyed refinishing old furniture, and she could usually be found at any given time working on a house project. Most of all, Faith loved spending time with her grandsons. Left to remember Faith is her husband Tom Case, son Carey and grandsons Sawyer and Oscar, son Tony and daughter-in-law Tavy. She is further survived by her sister Lorraine and brother-in-law Russell Guffey, sister Sandra Howell, in-laws Ted and April Case, in-laws Susan and Spencer Kelley, along with her numerous nieces and nephews. Faith will be greeted in Heaven by her mother Lillie Mae and Joe Taylor, father Marvin and Alene Tomlinson, brother Marvin “Mark” Tomlinson, in-laws Richard and Audrey Case, and daughter-in-law Alicia Case. Funeral Service for Faith will be held January 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Honey Creek Woodlands; 2625 GA 212, Conyers, Ga 30094. A short service will precede the burial. Casual dress and comfortable walking/hiking shoes is suggested. There will be a golf cart available for transport to the burial site for those who need it. In the event of rain there is a small Chapel to gather, inside.
