Carolyn Pearson

Evangelist Carolyn Marie Pearson was born on June 23, 1948 in Forsyth, GA, to Rena Bell Tolen who preceded her in death. Carolyn graduated from Henry County High School in 1968. She earned certifications in Childhood Development and Business. She was a dedicated employee for over 20 years at Westbury Nursing Home in McDonough, GA. Carolyn married Terry Pearson. To this union were born one son and two daughters. Darron, Tabitha, and Terica Pearson. Carolyn accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at Community United Pentecostal Church in McDonough, GA. She was an active member as a missionary and usher. She moved to Chicago and continued with being an active member at Ebenezer Apostolic Faith Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher, Usher, Choir Member, and Community Service Leader. She was faithful and loyal to the vision of the ministry. After living in Chicago for many years, Carolyn moved back to McDonough, GA and continued her dedication to serving in ministry as an evangelist at One Step of Faith Church in Forsyth, GA; and Voices of Faith Church on Fire in Jenkinsburg, GA. Carolyn was a loving and dutiful mother and grandmother. She was the best mother that anyone could have. She lovingly supported her children with all of their education and careers. She loved her grandchildren. They were the light of her life. “Granny”, as she was affectionately called, was always on hand to make sure they were okay, gifts, food, advice, and her lovingly warm presence. Throughout her life, Carolyn was very active with witnessing to win souls to Jesus Christ. She prayed, interceded, and preached God’s word. She loved singing in the choir. She always welcomed people into her home, who needed a place to stay. She loved working with children. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say. She loved to color, draw, and word puzzles. Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Terry; her son Darron (Ebony); her two daughters Tabitha and Terica; six grandchildren; Nicholas, Jarvis, Gianna, Daurice, Ashley, and Marcus; two great grandchildren; two loyal cousins Rachel and Vanessa; and a host of loving and loyal relatives and friends
