Bob Lee Garcia

Bob Lee Garcia of Stockbridge, GA, died Monday, June 13, 2016. Born May 23, 1947, in Clayton, New Mexico, son of Paul Pablo and Mary Anne (Quintana) Garcia de Noriego and the grandson of Francisco Garcia de Noriego and Romanita Garcia, and Jose Pablo and Onofre M. Quintana. Bob lived in Plainview, TX, for most of his childhood and moved to Lakin, Ks. in 1964, where he met and married Virginia Perez. The couple made their home in Kearny County, KS. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and a Knight of Columbus. Bob worked as a foreman overseeing 30,000 acres of land for many years as well as managing the Bronc Barn. In 1985, Bob and his family moved to Palmetto, GA. They owned and operated Dixie Stucco. He moved to Stockbridge, GA in 1990 and was a sales associate for Lowes then Home Depot. A devoted husband and loving father, Bob enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends. He was an avid gardener and expert storyteller, enjoyed gambling, and was always quick to lend a helping hand or word of advice to anyone in need. Bob was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his wife of the home; three sons: Bart and wife Melody of Lakin, KS, Damon and wife Alicia of Sharpsburg, GA, Gabriel and wife Adrienne of McDonough, GA; three daughters: Lee Bailey and husband Mark, Brooks, GA, Yolanda Garcia, Stockbridge, GA, and Alysia Bryan and husband Wesley, Covington, GA; 10 grandchildren: Jordan, Jenna and Jayden Garcia, Sierra and Noah Bryan, Copeland Garcia, Jacob, Cody and Zane Garcia, and Alexa Parroquin; one brother, Tony Garcia, and six sisters Stella Godoy, Delia Stahlecker, Pearl (Rusty) Jock, Peggy Gonzalez, Willie Winn, Pauline Fisher and Mary Lou Skinner; his mother-in-law, Mary Perez, Lakin; and numerous nieces and nephews and family friends who looked to him as a father/grandfather. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Walter; his parents and grandparents, and four sisters: Ruth Mace, Dora Garcia, Martha Orosco, and Sue Wilson. Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers.
