Briana Ponder

On January 8, 1991 God let one of His Angels come down to the earth. A beautiful Angel named Briana Monique Ponder was born to Teresa Williams McIntosh and the late Ernest Ponder, Jr. Her grandparents, Ernest and Eloise Ponder, Sr. of Atlanta, GA preceded her in death. At an early age, Briana was introduced to Jesus Christ and the church by her grandmother, Mother Eloise Ponder. She received salvation and was baptized at Sweet Honey in the Rock Restoration Church at an early age. She faithfully attended services and was involved in the Youth Usher Ministry, Kids In Praise (K.I.P.S), Air Force Ministry, and the Media Ministry. Briana’s heart was full of love and she would always greet you with a loving kiss and smile. Her laughter was infectious and she inspired everyone she met. Briana, lovingly known as “BeBe or Bri” “Speechless” Ponder attended and graduated from Roswell High School in Fulton County public school. She attended North Georgia Technical College in 2009 and completed her studies in Professional Development from Brown Mackie College in 2011. With encouragement from her family and friends and a quest for excellence, she re-enrolled in Brown Mackie College striving diligently for an Associate Degree. She was employed at Serenity Community Services, a behavioral and mental health facility located in Union City, GA as an Office Assistant and received a promotion to a Medical Assistant during her tenure. Briana was recently employed at Quality Inn in McDonough, GA. Her community services stem from Grady Memorial Hospital in the Diabetic Clinic to Camp Kudzu in Rutledge, GA. A non-profit organization designed as a training ground for diabetics. Her sunset was on Thursday, July 31, 2014. The Angel returns, leaving her love and memories to her beloved and devoted aunts, Tracy Lynn Ponder, Melanie L. Ponder-Wright (Joseph); mother, Teresa Williams; sisters, Marquita “Nikki” High, Moeshia Willingham; brothers, Thaddeus O`keffe Ponder, Lyndell Ponder; grandmother, Bernice Duffie; great-grandmother, Florence Williams; Godaunt, Georgia Hickman; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. ‘’God grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can, and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time, accepting hardships as the pathway to peace, taking as He did this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it. Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His will, that I may be reasonably happy in this life, and supremely happy with Him forever in the next”. Amen
